Welcome to a new literature-based curriculum! The Stories Series is a multi-level, multi-subject, full-year homeschooling series from Messenger Homeschool Curriculum! The Stories Teacher's Guide has a 36-week schedule for elementary level studies, enough for a full school year of learning. This teacher’s guide includes a reading list, Quick Start instruction page, homeschooling tips, tests, and the answer key for the companion book, Stories Student Activities. Suitable for grades 1 through 8, the subjects included in the schedule are Singing, Catholic Studies, English Language Arts, Art, Social Studies, Recipes, and Science. Note that Math is not included in this program. The Stories Teacher's Guide schedule is a day-saver for a homeschooling parent. Each one-page weekly schedule is easy to follow and activities may be checked off or recorded as they are completed. Activities include things like: singing a hymn, copying a memory verse, reading from the Gospels, reading a chapter in the novel study, completing a grammar worksheet, writing a journal entry, drawing an animal, reading a picture book, mapping the countries of a continent, or going on a nature walk. Related worksheets and major assignments are found in the Stories Student Activities book. Photocopying is allowed for the home use of the purchaser. Answers for the worksheets and tests are found in the Stories Teacher's Guide.  As a literature-based program, the Scheduled Reading List directs the teacher to many terrific picture books, novel studies, and non-fiction books based on the theme of the year. The books on the reading list are not included, but they may be found at a library or book seller.   To use the Stories program, you will need the Stories Teacher’s Guide plus Stories Student Activities (sold separately), some basic school supplies, and an assortment of books from the reading list.
